Third Millennium Blessing of the Fields

The 15th edition (May 18, 2025)

The 2025 edition of the Third Millennium Blessing of the Fields, the fifteenth, was held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Byzantine Cuba of Santa Domenica, in the countryside of Castiglione di Sicilia. The morning began with a meeting at Piazza XI Febbraio for the cultural walk curated by FAI, followed by the gathering of pilgrims at the Cuba.

At 11:30 AM, the Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Father Orazio Greco, followed by the blessing of the fields according to the ancient Castiglione rite. The day concluded with a rustic feast in the square in front of the Cuba, featuring moments of conviviality and tastings of local products. The event was promoted by the Archeoclub and the Santi Apostoli Pietro e Paolo Parish, with the patronage of the Municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia.
