Edition 2025 — Carnival of Avigliano Umbro

In 2025, the Carnival of Avigliano Umbro again celebrated the Umbrian Masks of the Commedia dell'Arte with a program of theatre performances, events for schools, and festive moments in the town center, replicated in the neighboring municipalities of Montecastrilli, Massa Martana, and Castel dell'Aquila.

The 2025 edition maintained the formula that characterizes the Avigliano event: at its center are the Umbrian Masks (Nasotorto, Rosalinda, Nasoacciaccato, and Chicchirichella), with theatre performances, workshops, and the usual Oliviero Piacenti Prize for Creativity dedicated to students.

The carnival confirmed itself as a widespread event in the territory, involving, in addition to Avigliano Umbro, Montecastrilli, Massa Martana, and Castel dell'Aquila in the province of Terni, with the traditional finale of the burning of Pippinaccio.
