The Treasures of Buccheri 2025
On October 25 and 26, 2025, the highest village in the Iblei Mountains hosted a new edition of The Treasures of Buccheri - Best Culinary Destination. For two days, the streets of the historic center were filled with authentic aromas, colors, and flavors thanks to the culinary art of local producers: extra virgin olive oil, homemade bread, cheeses, traditional sweets, and Iblean cuisine dishes.
Among the most appreciated initiatives was the Mycological Exhibition dedicated to the world of mushrooms, with mycological experts guiding the public. The churches of Santa Maria Maddalena and Sant'Antonio were opened for visits to admire their architectural and artistic beauty, alongside nature hikes, urban trekking, and conferences. The event, organized by the Municipality of Buccheri with the coordination of the Tourism Department, confirmed the village's vocation as a destination of gastronomic excellence in the province of Syracuse.
