The Sicily International Folk Festival

3rd edition (2025)

In 2025, The Sicily International Folk Festival celebrated its third edition from May 23 to 25, with twelve groups of folk music and dance representing various European nations, including Lithuania, Estonia, Malta, and Austria, in addition to Italian formations from the Aosta Valley, Sardinia, and Sicily.

The event opened on Friday, May 23, in Taormina, with a parade and performances along the central Corso Umberto I starting at 6:30 PM. It continued on Saturday, May 24, in Acireale, with a procession toward Piazza Duomo and performances from 7:00 PM, concluding on Sunday, May 25, in Letojanni, at Piazza Cagli. The event was organized by the MediterraneArtè association with EuroArt Production and Leon Promotion, under the patronage of the Regional Department of Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity and the three involved municipalities.
