Edition 2025 — Night of the Marena
The first edition of The Night of the Marena was held on Saturday, September 27, and Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Largo Badia, in the Croce district of Itala (ME). The event, dedicated to promoting the Marena, an ancient aromatized wine from the Monte Scuderi Valley, was divided into two parts.
On the evening of Saturday, September 27, the Masters of the Marena demonstrated the complex processing procedures of the product, followed by a communal pasta feast. On the morning of Sunday, September 28, starting at 10:00 AM, a thematic seminar was held in collaboration with the Taormina Delegation of the Italian Sommelier Association, moderated by Gioele Micali with a presentation by sommelier Antonella De Domenico. The event was promoted by the Municipality of Itala with the Archpriest of Saints Peter, Paul, and James and the Youth Association of Itala.
