The Magic of Christmas in Mezzolombardo

A widespread Advent between village and castle

The 2025 edition brought the historic center of Mezzolombardo to life from December 5, 2025, to January 9, 2026. The Christmas markets with food stalls were open on the weekends of December 6-7, 13-14, and 20-22, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, while at the Castello della Torre, opening hours extended until 10:00 PM, amidst light projections and crafts.

The event opened on December 5 with the traditional Strozega dei badoni di San Nicolò and featured a packed calendar: a snack and the arrival of Santa Claus (December 8), the Christmas Dances show by the Teatro dell'Aleph in Piazza delle Erbe, creative workshops for children, wood carving demonstrations (December 20-21), Christmas concerts at the Teatro San Pietro and in the Civic Hall, and the Nutcracker show (December 28). The grand finale with the arrival of the Befana in Piazza Vittoria closed the festivities on January 6.

December 5, 2025 — Opening

• Strozega dei badoni di San Nicolò, traditional parade in the historic center

Market weekends (December 6-7, 13-14, 20-22)

• 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM — Christmas markets and food stalls between Corso Mazzini, Piazza delle Erbe, and Piazza San Giovanni
• Castello della Torre open until 10:00 PM with light projections, crafts, and workshops
• Inter-municipal library courtyard: marshmallow roasting and large wooden games by the Eris social cooperative; Santa Claus face painting (10:00-11:00 AM and 2:30-5:30 PM)

December 8 — Piazza delle Erbe

• 4:00 PM — Creative workshop for children "Create your own lantern" (Pro Loco volunteers)
• 4:30 PM — Arrival of Santa Claus and collection of letters, snack with Christmas sweets, chestnuts, tea, and mulled wine
• 5:30 PM — Christmas Dances show by Teatro dell'Aleph

December 20-21

• Wood carving demonstrations

• The Nutcracker show

January 6, 2026 — Epiphany

• Arrival of the Befana in Piazza Vittoria

Throughout the period: Christmas concerts at the Teatro San Pietro, in the Civic Hall, and in Piazza delle Erbe, paid workshops for children aged 3 to 11, and guided tours of the historic center (by reservation, inter-municipal library).
