Edition 2025 — Long Night of the Lazzareni

The 2025 edition of The Long Night of the Lazzareni was held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, starting at 10:00 PM and continuing throughout the night, on the eve of Palm Sunday. Groups of singers crossed the districts of Sannicola in an itinerant route between the town's houses, singing "lu Lazzarenu" with guitars, tambourines, and accordions.

In 2025, The Long Night of the Lazzareni returned to Sannicola on Saturday, April 12, on the eve of Palm Sunday. Starting at 10:00 PM and throughout the night, musicians and singers traveled through the town's districts in a long itinerary between the various houses, singing folk melodies linked to Easter rites. "Lu Lazzarenu," a song of Greek origin where the sacred and the profane mix until it becomes almost impossible to distinguish the religious meaning from the sentimental one, resonated once again through the streets of Sannicola. Families welcomed the groups by offering eggs, bread, and wine, strengthening the communal sense of the rite. The initiative was supported by the Municipality of Sannicola (Tourism and Events), the S. Maria delle Grazie Festival Committee, and local volunteers.
