Edition 2025 — Bormida Chestnut Festival

In 2025, La Castagnata animated Bormida with autumn flavours: roasted chestnuts, chestnuts with cream, mulled wine, and typical sweets in the Chiesa hamlet square. Organised by the Pro Loco, the festival drew visitors from the Savona hinterland, confirming the mountain village's connection to its traditions.

The 2025 edition of La Castagnata in Bormida confirmed the tradition of the autumn festival dedicated to the chestnut. In the square of the Chiesa hamlet, the stands of Pro Loco Bormida offered steaming roasted chestnuts, chestnuts with cream, mulled wine, fritters, and typical sweets, during a well-attended day of celebration. The event reaffirmed the strong link between the Bormida community and its gastronomic heritage, as well as the peasant traditions of the upper Bormida Valley, in the province of Savona.
