Edition 2025 — The Captain's Days
The 2025 Edition
From July 25 to July 27, 2025, the historic center of Bagno di Romagna traveled back in time for the Renaissance re-enactment, The Captain's Days.
On Friday evening, the festival opened at 8:45 PM with a parade of drummers and trumpeters to call the village, followed by performances along Via Palestro and the Captain's dances by the Historical Group of Forlimpopoli in Piazza Dante. On Saturday, starting at 5:30 PM, a parade of groups gathered in Piazza Ricasoli, featuring a medieval market and a meeting of the captains; in the evening, a procession of all participants with flag and music performances in Piazza Ricasoli and Captain's dances to conclude. On Sunday, starting at 5:30 PM, a new parade gathered in Piazza Ricasoli, with a medieval market and a demonstration of the Saracen Joust; at 9 PM, the parade animated the village from Via Fiorentina to Piazza Ricasoli, culminating in the Captain's oath with the ceremony of gifts.
