The Bonfires of Saint George

In 2025, the fires of Le Laure were lit as every year on the evenings of April 16th and 22nd in Mirabello Sannitico. Along the streets of the historic centre and in the countryside, families and groups from the town fuelled the bonfires in honour of Saint George, sharing fire-cooked meats, local wine, and stories passed down through generations. A community rite that preceded, as tradition dictates, the patron saint's feast on April 23rd.

The 2025 edition followed the traditional pattern: lighting of Le Laure on April 16th and 22nd, shortly after sunset, with conviviality around the fires. A detailed hourly program is not documented online.
