Testaccio Estate

The 2025 edition of Testaccio Estate confirmed the festival as one of Rome's most beloved summer events. Within the spaces of the Città dell'Altra Economia, at the former Mattatoio in the Testaccio district, every evening offered a chance to experience the city in a new light thanks to a completely free and open-access program.

The lineup ranged from live music to stand-up comedy, including talks, presentations, illustration exhibitions, and an open-air cinema arena. The official opening on Thursday, May 29th, featured Chicoria, a rapper and historic voice of the capital's underground scene. May also included previews such as Via Japan (May 8-11), a journey through Japanese food and culture, and the Arrosticini Festival (May 15-18).

As always, great attention was paid to families and children, with a dedicated area, dining spaces, and food and wine offerings, in an informal atmosphere that made Testaccio Estate a meeting point for the entire neighborhood.
