Teatro nelle Cave 2025 — 18th edition

From July 21st to 29th, 2025, the tuff quarries of Riano, still partially active and set up for the occasion with a stage, dressing rooms, and tiers, hosted the eighteenth edition of the festival. The programme spanned very different genres, from folk music to actor-led theatre and staged literature.

The opening, on Monday, July 21st, was entrusted to CG50 Il mito. 50 years of Greek-Salento songbook. On July 25th, Renatissimo was performed, a tribute to Renato Carosone with Enzo De Caro and the Anema group, accompanied by Marcello Corvino on violin, Biagio Labanca on guitar, Massimo De Stephanis on double bass, and Fabio Tricomi on percussion. On Sunday, July 27th, it was the turn of Di padre ce n'è uno solo? by Riccardo Barbera, with Gino Auriuso, Massimo Wertmüller, and Ivano Falco, directed by Gino Auriuso. The festival closed on Tuesday, July 29th, with Giuseppe Cederna tells Marcovaldo by Italo Calvino, a show that weaves together literature, music, and illustration.

As per tradition, all initiatives were free of charge, thanks in part to the support of BCC Provincia Romana.
