Tavullia's Carnival in the heart of the town

Every winter, on a Sunday afternoon in February, the center of Tavullia fills with colors, masks, and music with Tavullia in Maschera, the Carnival festival promoted by Pro Loco Tavullia with the patronage of the Municipality. It's the event that brings together children, families, and costumed groups from this small municipality in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, in the Marche region, for an afternoon designed especially for the younger ones.

A parade that crosses the village

The meeting point is in front of the town church: from here, the masked parade begins, winding through the streets of the center and concluding in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, the true pulsating heart of the event. Along the route and at the arrival, there will be music, entertainment, and festive moments, while the little ones eagerly await the traditional candy toss, one of the day's most beloved moments.

A community celebration

Tavullia in Maschera is a festival deeply connected to the territory and the local associative fabric. The sweets buffet is prepared by Pasticceria Padovano, while drinks are offered by Avis Tavullia: an example of how the community comes together to animate Carnival. The municipal administration likes to recall that "in Tavullia, Carnival has no age," emphasizing the inclusive and intergenerational spirit that characterizes the town's Carnival events.

Tavullia's widespread Carnival

Tavullia in Maschera is part of a broader Carnival calendar that also involves the hamlets of the Municipality: in the preceding days, the "Carnevale dei Paesi" (Villages' Carnival) takes place in Padiglione and other local areas, bringing together Rio Salso, Case Bernardi, Padiglione, and Belvedere Fogliense. Tavullia in Maschera, on the other hand, represents the main town's event, the one that brings the celebration to the streets of the center.
