Edition 2025 — Syracuse Carnival

In 2025, the Syracuse Carnival once again filled the historic center with masks, colors, and joy, featuring the traditional school parade and processions of masked groups. The festival, with its strong popular appeal, involved families, schools, and associations in the city's Baroque streets and squares, confirming it as an event deeply rooted in Sicilian tradition.

The 2025 edition of the Syracuse Carnival renewed the local tradition with masked processions and costumed groups in the historic center and on the island of Ortigia. The heart of the festival was, as every year, the school parade, which featured students from Syracuse's comprehensive schools, each with their own theme and costumes. Promoted by the Municipality of Syracuse, in Sicily, the Carnival confirmed its family-oriented and participatory character, far from large allegorical floats and close to the community.
