Edition 2025 — Swordfish Festival

The 2025 edition of the Swordfish Festival took place from August 15 to 18 on the Gallipoli waterfront. From 7:00 PM until late at night, the stalls offered grilled, meunière, breaded, and fried swordfish, along with orecchiette with scampi, mixed fried fish, octopus, and Salento wines. The four evenings were accompanied by Salento folk music concerts and live performances, with free admission.

2025 Edition

From August 15 to 18, 2025, the waterfront of Gallipoli, in the Province of Lecce, hosted the Swordfish Festival, one of the most popular seaside events of the Salento summer. Every evening, from 7:00 PM, the food stalls served swordfish in its most beloved versions — grilled, meunière, breaded, and fried — alongside orecchiette with scampi, mixed fried fish, octopus, roasted cuttlefish, and Apulian wines.

The evenings were enlivened by traditional Salento folk music, dancing, and live performances along the sea, in a convivial atmosphere that drew residents and tourists until late at night. Admission was free.
