Edition 2025 — Surano Patronal Festivals

In 2025, the Surano Patronal Festivals took place from August 14th to 17th, honoring the Holy Martyrs of Otranto, the Madonna Assunta, and Saint Roch. Processions with sacred images, illuminations in the historic center, band concerts, folk music, pizzica, and food stalls with Salento specialties enlivened the four days of celebration.

The 2025 edition of the Surano Patronal Festivals renewed the village's devotion to its three Patron Saints from August 14th to 17th. August 14th opened with the solemnity of the Holy Martyrs of Otranto, followed on the 15th by the Madonna Assunta and on the 16th by Saint Roch. Processions wound through the alleys of the historic center amidst illuminations and prayers, while the evenings offered concerts, pizzica performances, folk dances, and traditional fireworks. There was no shortage of food stalls serving pittule, friselle, grilled meat, desserts, and local wines, the convivial heart of the Surano festival.
