Edition 2025 — Superzampone
The 36th edition of Superzampone was held from December 5 to 7, 2025. The absolute protagonist was the giant zampone weighing 741 kilograms, prepared by the Modena Master Cured Meat Makers. The festival began on Friday, December 5, with the Barbeque Contest Tour in Piazza Ettore Bertoni, transformed into a large culinary village. On Saturday the 6th, there was a tribute to Romolo Levoni in Piazza Cavazzuti, the exhibition Castro Novo (1025) at the Luis Sepúlveda library with guided tours by archaeologist Donato Labate, and the traditional dinner at the parish oratory with calzagatti, maltagliati, cotechino, and bensone.
On Sunday, December 7, the main day, primary school children cut the Minizampone, while at noon came the most anticipated moment: the cutting and free distribution of the giant zampone with lambrusco. The historic center came alive with markets, street food, and music from the Castelvetro Brass Band and the Vignola Folk Group, while the show E risalutami tuo fratello with Marco Ligabue and Andrea Barbi was performed in Piazza Edmondo Berselli.
