Edition 2025 — Suono Libero Urbano

In 2025, Lizzano once again celebrated Liberation Day in Piazza Matteotti, combining the April 25th institutional ceremony with moments of music and participation. A civic and community event that gathers residents and visitors every year around the values of the Resistance and democracy, with free admission.

The April 25th Liberation Day is an annual event deeply rooted in Lizzano, a town in the province of Taranto. In 2025, the anniversary was celebrated in Piazza Matteotti, the heart of the town center, with a program that combined the institutional moment dedicated to the memory of the Resistance with spaces for music and sharing.

The celebration, supported by the local association network and institutions, reaffirmed the significance of a foundational date for Italian republican history, involving young people in particular. Admission to the initiatives was free of charge.
