Every summer, when the city slows down and empties out, the Casa del Jazz park becomes one of Rome's most magical spots. Amidst the pines and pathways of Villa Osio in the Ostiense district, the Summertime festival ignites nearly two months of open-air concerts: a unique stage for live music, nestled in greenery just steps from the Aurelian Walls. It is one of the most beloved events of the Roman summer, drawing enthusiasts and curious visitors from across the city and beyond.
A lineup of legends and new voices
Produced by the Fondazione Musica per Roma, Summertime offers over forty concerts that showcase every facet of jazz: international masters, key figures of the Italian scene, and emerging talents invited to engage with established artists. Alongside the main stage in the Villa Osio park, the most anticipated concerts move to the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, from the Cavea to the Sala Santa Cecilia, to accommodate larger audiences.
More than just concerts
Summertime is about more than just music: the festival complements its concerts with meetings, guided listening sessions, and in-depth discussions at the Casa del Jazz, exploring the history and protagonists of the genre. The park opens in the late afternoon, allowing the public to enjoy the garden atmosphere, complete with a bar and dining options, before the concerts begin in the nocturnal setting.
A piece of Rome returned to the city
The Casa del Jazz is located in a villa confiscated from organized crime and returned to the community as a home for music: a symbol that makes Summertime even more special. The festival is a jewel in the cultural programming of the City of Rome and the Lazio Region, confirming the capital as one of Europe's great summer jazz hubs. For those visiting Rome during the warmer months, it is the perfect opportunity to combine an evening of great music with the discovery of one of the city's most vibrant districts, Ostiense.
Summertime — edition 2026
The 2026 festival spans nearly two months, from June 13 to August 7, with over forty concerts between the gardens of Villa Osio and the spaces of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone. The heart of the edition is the centenary of the birth of Miles Davis: the Fondazione Musica per Roma dedicates a series of original projects, world premieres, and in-depth meetings to the jazz legend. Alongside the tributes to the trumpet genius, the lineup alternates between great international masters, protagonists of the Italian scene, and emerging young talents.
Six prestigious events will move to the Cavea and the halls of the Auditorium Parco della Musica: Stefano Bollani, Pat Metheny, Diana Krall, Jacob Collier, Gregory Porter, and Marcus Miller. The Casa del Jazz park remains the daily home of the festival, with concerts every evening at 9:00 PM.

Location

Getting there
The Casa del Jazz is close to the Piramide Metro B station and the Roma Ostiense train station, both well-connected to the city center. Numerous bus lines stop along Viale di Porta Ardeatina and near the Aurelian Walls. Parking in the area is limited: public transport is highly recommended.
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased online at ticketone.it. The on-site box office opens on show days from 7:00 PM. Prices vary depending on the concert and the venue (Casa del Jazz park or Auditorium).
Tips
The park opens before the concerts begin: it is worth arriving early to enjoy the garden and the refreshment areas. As these are evening outdoor events, a light jacket is recommended.
