The 2025 Summer Solstice at Parco Romano
On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the Parco Romano Biodistretto in Ariccia hosted a new edition of the Summer Solstice - Festival of the Trees, from 8:00 AM until sunset. The day began with a farmers' market featuring small local agricultural businesses and a nordic walking session, followed by morning yoga.
The central moment was the Baptism of the Trees, a symbolic ceremony dedicated to the ancient trees with botanical panels inspired by Roman deities, enriched by contemporary dance performances and poetic readings. Throughout the day, there was live music, creative workshops for children, meditation among the trees, holistic disciplines, and Fustock catering with traditional peasant dishes and craft beers. An event that confirmed the bond between Ariccia, the Castelli Romani, and the themes of nature and sustainability.
