Sulle Strade di Coppi

In 2025, the Sulle Strade di Coppi race did not take place: the event, established in 1979 and held until the mid-nineties in Villalvernia (Alessandria province), had been suspended for some time. It was during this period, however, that the idea and organization for the modern revival of the race took shape, driven by the Municipality of Villalvernia together with the Azalai ASD sports association to revive a tradition deeply felt by the community and dedicated to the memory of the 'Campionissimo' Fausto Coppi. The work initiated would lead, on May 1st, 2026, to the first edition of the revival along the hills between Villalvernia, Carezzano, and Paderna.
