SudInCanto

The first edition of SudInCanto took place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Largo Domenico Modugno in Polignano a Mare, the birthplace of the great Mimì. The evening, created by AMOPUGLIA with the patronage of the municipal administration and the collaboration of the Artea and Uno&Trio associations, opened with a march and concert by the centenary Polignano marching band.

After speeches by the regional president and the Polignano section, and the presentation of a commemorative plaque to the family of the founder, Prof. Vincenzo Pomo, the stage was taken by a theatrical sketch by the Uno&Trio association and the show "Mimì da Sud a Sud" by Mario Incudine, dedicated to the songs of Domenico Modugno in a Sicilian and Mediterranean style. The proceeds went towards the purchase of medical equipment for oncology care in the area.
