Twenty-five editions

With the event on December 22, 2025, the Struffolo d'Oro reached the milestone of its 25th edition, confirming itself as the most iconic Christmas event in Portico di Caserta, Campania. The organization was, as always, handled by the APS Pro Loco Portico di Caserta, which collected registrations from pastry shops, bakeries, and local businesses alongside those of private citizens.

The formula remained the proven one: setting up tasting stands, free public tasting, and evaluation by a jury of experts tasked with judging the dough, frying, honey dosage, and decoration. The edition was part of the broader Natale sotto il Portico program, which animated the town's squares with markets, nativity scenes, and shows during the same period.

A quarter of a century of competition tells the story of how deeply rooted the struffolo tradition is here: in previous editions, local establishments such as La Belle Boulangerie, winner of the 21st edition, had already made their mark.
