Strozzapreti Festival

The 2025 edition of the Strozzapreti Festival took place in Picenze di Barisciano (AQ) on Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17, confirming the thirty-year tradition that has been running since 1987. The evenings, starting at 7:00 PM and lasting until late at night, featured strozzapreti handmade by local ladies, seasoned with meat sauce and truffle cream.

Alongside the signature first course, the stalls offered arrosticini, grilled sausages, tomato and truffle bruschetta, fried pizzas, zeppole, and local wines. A live orchestra accompanied dinner with singing and dancing, while the area around the ancient fountain turned into an open-air disco with DJ sets. The event was organized by the Pro Loco of Picenze in the heart of the medieval village.
