Edition 2025 — Montenero Street Artists

The 2025 edition of the Street Artists Festival took place on Friday, August 15th, in Montenero Sabino, in the province of Rieti, confirming the tradition of the Sabine Ferragosto. From afternoon until evening, tightrope walkers, fakirs, trapeze artists, jugglers, stilt walkers, and dancers brought the historic center's alleys, the square, and Castello Orsini to life with free shows followed by a large audience of families and visitors passing through the Sabina region.

Ferragosto 2025 in the village

On Friday, August 15th, 2025, Montenero Sabino renewed its most spectacular summer appointment. The Street Artists Festival, curated by the Pro Loco, once again transformed the small village in the province of Rieti into an open-air theater.

As per tradition, the artists were distributed along the path that climbs from the Church of San Cataldo Vescovo up to Castello Orsini, occupying squares and open spaces with acts of tightrope walking, juggling, aerial acrobatics, and fakirism. The public, composed largely of families and vacationers, followed the performances by moving on foot from one point of the historic center to another.

The edition was part of a particularly rich 2025 summer for the town, between the Sagra dei Maccheroni a Fezze, singer-songwriter evenings, and sunset poetry readings. Admission to the shows remained, as always, free.
