Edition 2025 — Straw Huts

The 2025 edition of Scene di Paglia confirmed the festival's formula of huts and waters, bringing theatre, music, and encounters to the rural and lagoon spaces between Padua and Venice, with huts, historic villas, and pumping stations transformed into stages on the water.

The sixteenth edition of Straw Huts animated the summer between the provinces of Padua and Venice with its widespread format: theatre, dance, and storytelling performances hosted in the huts, historic villas, and pumping stations of the area. The festival, based in Piove di Sacco, involved numerous municipalities in the Saccisica and lagoon region, enhancing the Veneto rural heritage through live arts and confirming its site-specific vocation.

Programme

Theatre, dance, and storytelling performances in the rural and lagoon spaces (huts, villas, pumping stations) between Padua and Venice, with events spread across several municipalities in the region.
