StraGesso

The first edition of StraGesso took place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in Gessopalena, Abruzzo, marking the debut of the road running race in the village in the Province of Chieti. Organized by ASD Vini Fantini with the Pro Loco and the Municipality, it featured an 8.5 km competitive race over three 2.85 km laps, a 3 km fun run, and youth races, with the start and finish in Piazza Roma.

The program was packed: meeting at 3:00 PM, youth races from 3:30 PM, and the start of the competitive and fun run at 4:30 PM. In the evening, award ceremonies began at 7:00 PM, followed by food stalls at 7:30 PM, a concert by the Jolly Blu — 883 & Max Pezzali Tribute Band at 9:30 PM, and a DJ set at midnight. The entry fee was €7.00 for adults and €3.00 for youth, with a race pack including wine, pasta, and a drink voucher.
