Edition 2025 — St. Joseph's Fires
St. Joseph's Fires 2025
On Saturday, March 15, 2025, Casalvecchio di Puglia renewed the traditional fire ritual linked to the cult of St. Joseph, now in its seventh edition. Ticket collection began at 7:30 PM in Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie, while the simultaneous lighting of the bonfires took place at 8:00 PM, followed by the traditional blessing.
The evening featured large bonfires, performances, songs, and folk dances, along with a rich culinary trail respecting the Arbëreshë tradition. Among the novelties of the edition was the presence of delegates from La Ndocciata of Agnone, one of the most fascinating fire rituals in Italy. The event was organized by the municipal administration with the Torre Normanna Association and the patronage of the Apulia Region.
