Edition 2025 — Noicàttaro Fire Rituals
The 2025 edition of the Noicàttaro Fire Rituals lit up Noicàttaro on March 15th with the traditional St. Joseph's Bonfires. At 6:30 PM, the first fire was lit and blessed on Via Madre Chiesa, in the presence of Mayor Raimondo Innamorato and two young people in traditional Noicàttaro and Albanian costumes; other fires illuminated Largo Sacro Cuore and Largo Pagano. The evening coincided with Ziarret e Dites te Verës, the Albanian festival celebrating the arrival of spring, as part of a double twinning with communities in Albania and Spain (Seville). Initiatives included a storytelling workshop for children in Largo Sacro Cuore with tales in Italian and Albanian, music and dances with the Moonlight duo and the Albanian duo Meli Hajderaj and Ekland Hasa, and food stands with typical Apulian and Albanian dishes. Free admission.
