Edition 2025 — St. Joseph's Fanòve
On March 19, 2025, the Fanòve di San Giuseppe enlivened Piazza Vittorio Veneto in Sammichele di Bari, organized by the Pro Loco Dino Bianco, which has been committed for years to preserving and passing on local traditions. In the afternoon, starting at 3:30 PM, children collected the Zippi for the door-to-door gathering along the town's streets, asking «Cè n'ge mitte a San Gesèppe?» and tying taralli, zeppole, oranges, apples, and small gifts to the branches to be later offered to the bonfire.
The lighting of the large bonfire took place at 9:00 PM. Around the fire, there was no shortage of food stalls with hanging caciocavallo, Sicilian cannoli, and wine, while musical entertainment was provided by the Casale delle Meraviglie association. A community evening that confirmed the vitality of one of the most authentic fire traditions of the Bari Murgia.
