Edition 2025 — St. John's Night
The 2025 edition of St. John's Night in Avola Antica was held on June 21, 2025, on the day of the summer solstice, at Raw Sicily Trip in contrada Avola Antica (Avola, SR). The evening began at 18:30 with a botanical walk to identify St. John's herbs, led by an expert from the Iblei Museum Network.
This was followed at 19:30 by a Sicilian apericena with specialties from Pasticceria Corsino in Palazzolo Acreide, natural wines, and botanical cocktails. At 20:30, the collective propitiatory ritual took place, led by Paolino Uccello, accompanied by cunti related to the solstice and healing chants. Participation required a contribution of 10 euros plus 5 euros for the annual membership.
