2025 Edition of the SS. Crocifisso Festival

In September 2025, the medieval village of Cesano, a district of the Municipality of Rome in the 15th Municipality (Lazio), renewed its most iconic festival, linked to the discovery of the wooden Crucifix in 1508 and the liturgical feast of September 14th.

As in previous editions, the heart of the event remained the historical pageant in medieval costume, with participants chosen from the residents of the districts, followed by the display of the Crucifix in front of the Church of San Giovanni Battista and the mass celebrated in the square. Alongside the religious dimension, the Palio dei Rioni enlivened the days with games and challenges between the historic districts, while the 'fraschette' and stalls of local products filled the village alleys.

The event is organized by the Pro Loco Massa Cesana with the local parish and remains free to enter.
