The non-competitive walk that opens spring in Sambruson di Dolo
The Spring Festival is one of the most cherished events in the hamlet of Sambruson, in the Municipality of Dolo (province of Venice), in the heart of the Riviera del Brenta. Founded in the late seventies, it has grown to become a collective ritual that marks the arrival of the warmer season each year, attracting families, sports groups, and the simply curious from all over the region.
The heart of the day is the non-competitive walk, open to all ages: participants walk without the pressure of the clock, enjoying the rural landscapes and quiet streets around Sambruson. It's an opportunity to be outdoors together, accessible to athletes, families with children, and the elderly alike.
After the walk, the festival comes alive with the lottery draw and the most poetic moment of the day: the release of biodegradable balloons with messages of peace and friendship intended for children worldwide, organized by AVIS. It's the symbol of a festival that combines conviviality, tradition, and a commitment to solidarity, organized by local associations with the patronage of the Municipality of Dolo.
The 48th Spring Festival of Sambruson returns in Spring 2026 with the traditional program: gathering and registrations in the morning, holy mass, start of the non-competitive walk, and subsequently, the lottery draw. The festival's symbolic moment, the release of biodegradable balloons with messages of peace offered by AVIS, is confirmed. The precise date will be announced by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event.
Based on the usual schedule (approximate times):
The detailed program and the definitive date for the 48th edition will be published by the organizers on their official channels in the preceding weeks.
