Edition 2025 — Spiga Festival

The 2025 edition of the Spiga Festival took place in Burgio on August 2nd and 3rd, with two days dedicated to celebrating the grain harvest. Featuring processions, rituals for blessing the harvest, folk performances with live music, stalls serving typical Sicilian dishes, and markets for local crafts and produce, the festival united faith, culture, and rural tradition, involving the entire community of the Sicani Mountains village.

The 2025 Spiga Festival was held in Burgio, in the province of Agrigento, on August 2nd and 3rd. The two days celebrated the grain harvest and the fertility of the land, the heart of the local rural tradition.

The program alternated between processions and religious rituals linked to the blessing of the harvest and moments of popular celebration, with folk performances and live music in the streets of the historic center. The food stalls offered typical Sicilian dishes and local products, while the markets featured artisanal and agricultural goods from the region. A festival that, even in 2025, confirmed the strong bond between the community of Burgio and its rural roots.
