Spartan Race arrives at Nevegàl
The Spartan Race, the world's best-known obstacle course racing (OCR) circuit, arrives for the first time on the Alpe del Nevegàl, above Belluno, in 2026. A debut that brings one of the most followed endurance sporting events in the world to the Dolomites, with thousands of participants expected from dozens of nations.
Three distances and the Kids Race
The event features the classic Spartan circuit races, to be tackled amidst mud, natural and artificial obstacles, and challenging mountain elevation changes:
- Sprint — 5 km with 20 obstacles
- Super — 10 km with 25 obstacles
- Beast — 21 km with 30 obstacles
- Kids Race — reduced course with obstacles for the little ones
Those who complete all three main distances over the weekend earn the Trifecta, a coveted achievement for OCR enthusiasts.
Sport and landscape in the Dolomites
More than just a race, the Spartan Race Belluno-Nevegal is a "mountain battle" that combines athletic challenge with landscape beauty: the courses offer spectacular views of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, while the city of Belluno, with its arcades and connection to the Piave river, provides a cultural backdrop to the event. Organized by Spartan Race together with CSport Marketing, We Love Nevegàl, and the Municipality of Belluno, the event aims to become a regular fixture of Belluno's sporting summer.
Spartan Race Nevegàl — edition 2026
The first edition of the Spartan Race Belluno-Nevegal takes place on June 27-28, 2026, on the Alpe del Nevegàl, above Belluno, with views of the UNESCO Dolomites. The event offers the Sprint, Super, and Beast distances, as well as the Kids Race, and expects over 2000 participants, with a significant international presence (about 20% from abroad, from over 20 nations).
