Edition 2025 — Soundscreen Film Festival

The tenth edition of the Soundscreen Film Festival took place from September 22 to 28, 2025, at Cinema Mariani in Ravenna. A week that celebrated the festival's ten years with premieres, live scores, and guests, featuring an Opening Night dedicated to Michael Madsen and the screening of Reservoir Dogs. On September 27, the international competition awards ceremony concluded an edition rich in live soundtracks and auteur cinema.

The tenth edition of the Soundscreen Film Festival was held from September 22 to 28, 2025, at Cinema Mariani in Ravenna, celebrating ten years of a festival that unites cinema and music. The Opening Night on September 22 was a tribute to Michael Madsen, with the screening of Reservoir Dogs (1992), Quentin Tarantino's directorial debut.

The Satellite Events offered three live soundtracks: an electronic supergroup scored Ėjzenštejn's Strike, the duo La Sindrome dell'Aceto performed scores for Dulac's The Seashell and the Clergyman and Vigo's À propos de Nice, while Bruno Dorella scored Odissea (1911). The jury, composed of Paolo Spaccamonti, Luca Vancini, and Simone Romboli, awarded the prizes on the evening of September 27.

  • Best Director: Lisa Bosi for the documentary Going Underground;
  • Maurizio Principato Award (best musical contribution): If Afez Wrote a Haiku for Cowboys by Masahiro Sugano;
  • Best Short Film (audience award): Sunny Man by Sandeep Reddy Sama.

Highlights
