Edition 2025 — Sossiano Carnival

In 2025, the San Sossio Baronia Carnival had its most anticipated moment on Saturday, March 1, with the Carnival Parade organized by the Youth Forum. Meeting at 3:30 PM on Via Piano, followed by the procession of allegorical floats and masked groups along the town streets until the arrival at Piazza Mercato. A day of colors, creativity, and joy, with free admission and suitable for all ages, which brought the entire community of the Irpinian Baronia out into the streets.

The 2025 edition took place over a single afternoon: Saturday, March 1, with a meeting at 3:30 PM on Via Piano. From there, the procession started, crossing the streets of San Sossio Baronia to conclude in Piazza Mercato, the traditional arrival point of the festival.

The absolute stars were the allegorical floats and masked groups, built and animated by the local youth: a display of colors and creativity that represents the main attraction of the event every year. The organization was handled by the Youth Forum of San Sossio Baronia, with the event included in the provincial calendar of Sistema Irpinia and the Carnival float circuit of the Province of Avellino.

The parade was free to enter, fully accessible, and recommended for visitors of all ages, with local traffic temporarily modified in the afternoon to allow the floats to pass.
