Edition 2025 — Sortino and Jazz

The 2025 edition of Sortino and Jazz brought the Syracuse village summer to life with a series of free open-air concerts, included in the Municipality's rich summer calendar. The festival brought Italian and international artists to Sortino, with evenings dedicated to jazz and tributes to great Italian songwriting, in the most evocative squares of the historic center, from Largo Peppino Impastato to Piazza Sortinesi nel Mondo.

Sortino and Jazz 2025

The summer of 2025 saw Sortino (Province of Syracuse) host a jazz festival spread across the village squares, with free admission. The program opened on July 19th with saxophonist Rino Cirinnà and his project, followed by a tribute to Lucio Dalla (July 25th) performed by maestro Paolo Rosi and an all-female string sextet, and "Emozioni," a musical journey through the masterpieces of Lucio Battisti with Gianmarco Carroccia (July 27th).

The highlight came on August 1st with a concert by international pianist Olivia Trummer, who seamlessly blends jazz, classical music, and songwriting. The concerts were held between Largo Peppino Impastato and Piazza Sortinesi nel Mondo, during a summer that also celebrated the twentieth anniversary of Pantalica's inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
