Sorbolongo Snail Festival

The 2025 edition marked a historic milestone: the 50th anniversary of the Sorbolongo Snail Festival, held from Friday, May 30 to Sunday, June 1, 2025. The opening ceremony on Friday, with local and regional authorities, kicked off a weekend full of events. Among the novelties for the half-century were the "Scalpellino d'Oro" award presented to pianist Roberta Pandolfi, who performed in concert for the occasion, and the presentation of three sandstone sculpture projects submitted for public vote. The opening gala dinner, "Journey through local flavors and traditions" curated by chef Roberto Dormicchi, featured a menu based on snails and regional dishes. The Snail Tavern, ballroom orchestras, a youth area, and children's activities, including the "Riciclomaca" contest, were also present.
