Solfare Festival

The Solfare Festival 2025 was held on Monday, August 4, 2025, in the Piazza Centrale of Sommatino (CL), starting at 9:00 PM. The event, organized and presented by the tireless Leo Virgone, offered an evening of entertainment, music, and fun in the spirit of tradition.

Contestants of all ages from across Sicily were divided into four categories, each with its own winner. The technical jury was led by musician Corrado Sillitti, who accompanied the evening on saxophone and accordion. Among the winners, the young singer from Agrigento, Nicolas Buono, took first place in his category and won the "Eleonora Lavore" award, with direct access to the Rome semi-finals. The evening, filled with applause, passion, and emotion, confirmed the festival's dual soul: music and the memory of the sulfur mines.
