In 2025, the Solemnity of Saint Lawrence was also one of the most heartfelt moments in the religious life of Perugia. In the Cathedral of Saint Lawrence, in Piazza IV Novembre, the vigil on August 9th opened with the First Vespers presided over by the Archbishop, while on August 10th, the solemn Eucharistic celebration renewed the tradition of the diaconal ordination on the day of the deacon and martyr saint, revered as the city's protector alongside Saint Constantius and Saint Herculanus.
