The Carnival of Soave

The Soave Carnival is the carnival event of the hamlet of Soave, in Porto Mantovano, a municipality in the first belt of Mantua. It is one of those village festivals that liven up winter with the colors of masks and the joy of music, involving families and children from the Mantua area in particular.

The Masked Parade

The heart of the festival is the masked parade, which starts from the courtyard of the Oratory of Soave, in Via della Libertà, and crosses the streets of the town to the Festival Park in Via Nuvolari. Along the route, the parade is accompanied by the Folk Band and the Majorettes of Quaderni (VR), who add rhythm and spectacle to the procession of costumes and confetti.

A Festival for the Little Ones

The Soave Carnival is designed especially for children, who parade in costume with their families. At the end of the procession, at the Festival Park, participants of all ages can enjoy a snack or an aperitif together, in a moment of conviviality that closes the festival.
