Slow Tourism Festival 2025: the pilot edition

The first Slow Tourism Festival in Bracciano was held from October 3 to 5, 2025, presented as a pilot edition of an event intended to become annual. Promoted by the Ti con Zero ETS association as part of the Cammino dei Vulcani, the event enlivened the historic center and the lake landscape with dozens of free appointments.

Friday opened with the photo exhibition 24 Scatti Africa. L'Uomo e la Bicicletta and the reading Strade Nere with writer Marco Pastonesi. Saturday was dedicated to the Vulcanica Science Day, with interactive tables, workshops, boat trips on the lake with CNR geologist Ilaria Mazzini, and the inauguration of the geological exhibition Le pietre di Roma. Sunday offered walks with Tai Chi, guided tours for children, the group cycling photo at the Sentinella viewpoint, and the show Elogio dei piedi, blending jazz and words.

Friday, October 3 - Historical Archive: inauguration of the photo exhibition 24 Scatti Africa. L'Uomo e la Bicicletta (6:00 PM) and storytelling with music Strade Nere with Marco Pastonesi and Gian Michele Montanaro (6:30 PM); night excursion Il popolo della notte in the Monterano reserve with ornithologist Guido Prola (7:00 PM).

Saturday, October 4 - Vulcanica Science Day at the Civic Museum and Historical Archive (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM) with interactive tables, workshops, and readings; boat excursion on the lake Segreti sommersi with CNR geologist Ilaria Mazzini (10:30 AM); somatic walk Respirare con gli alberi in the San Celso Woods and Templar Ring in the Tolfa Mountains; Nati per Leggere readings for children; exhibitions in the cloisters (cyanotype herbarium, nature illustrations); inauguration of the geological exhibition Le pietre di Roma (5:00 PM) and storytelling Paesaggi di fuoco (5:30 PM).

Sunday, October 5 - Walk and Tai Chi Mente e corpo starting from the Civic Museum (9:00 AM); excursion Via dei 5 Mulini in Barbarano Romano; guided tour for children Il museo che vola with kite-making workshop; book presentation L'Hangar Rossi (11:00 AM); group cycling photo at the Sentinella viewpoint in Bracciano (12:30 PM); jazz and words show Elogio dei piedi with Sergio Celestino and The Cinema Show Quartet (5:30 PM).
