Edition 2025 — Simbang Gabi

In 2025, the Simbang Gabi of Rome's Filipino community reached its solemn peak on Sunday, December 21st, at St. Peter's Basilica, with a Mass presided over by Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle. Thousands of faithful, including many young people, gathered under the theme "Pasko sa Jubileo 2025," in harmony with the Church's Jubilee Year.

The 2025 edition of Simbang Gabi in Rome took place in the days leading up to Christmas, from December 15th to 23rd, with the traditional dawn novena. The highlight was the Solemn Mass on Sunday, December 21st, at St. Peter's Basilica, presided over by Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, alongside Father Ronan Ayag of the Sentro Filipino Chaplaincy and other Filipino priests. Thousands of people from the Filipino community, with a strong youth presence, participated under the theme "Pasko sa Jubileo 2025," which united the feast with the Jubilee Year. The other novena liturgies were held at the Basilica of Santa Pudenziana, the historic seat of the Filipino chaplaincy.
