Edition 2025 — Siculiana Carnival

In the period leading up to the grand return of 2026, the Siculiana Carnival experienced a long phase of absence from the streets of the Agrigento village. The carnival tradition, deeply felt by the community, had remained suspended for a long time, fueling the residents' anticipation for the return of one of the town's most beloved festivals in the heart of the Agrigento province.

In the years preceding 2026, the Siculiana Carnival went through a long hiatus: the festival no longer enlivened the streets of the historic center of the Agrigento village as it once did. This very absence made the return of the event, strongly desired by the community and the Municipal Youth Council, even more anticipated and meaningful.

The Carnival tradition, with its masks, colors, and joy, is part of the popular identity of Siculiana and Sicily. The desire to bring it back to the streets guided the relaunch project that culminated in the 2026 edition.
