Edition 2025 — SicilFestival

2025 represented the gestation year for SicilFestival in Oliveri. The Municipality joined the cultural project to promote young artists and creative residencies inspired by the history, culture, and identity of Sicily, laying the foundations for the first public edition in 2026. During this preparatory phase, the festival's vocation was defined: a bridge between tradition and contemporary art, focusing on the Opera dei Pupi and iron craftsmanship.

In 2025, the Municipality of Oliveri, in the Province of Messina, joined the SicilFestival project, starting the journey that would lead to the first public edition in the spring of 2026.

The year was dedicated to building the event's identity: promoting young artists, creative residencies inspired by Sicily, and choosing the Opera dei Pupi and iron puppets as symbols of the dialogue between tradition and modernity. Preparatory work designed to make Oliveri a new cultural hub on the Sicilian Tyrrhenian coast.
