Sicani Cinema Experience 2025 — Second Edition

The second edition of the Sicani Cinema Experience was held from July 18th to 20th, 2025 between Cammarata and San Giovanni Gemini, in the Sicani Mountains district in the province of Agrigento. Three days of free access, organized by the Spazio Giovani Generazioni Association with the patronage of the two municipalities.

At the heart of the event was an international competition of eight short films vying for the Jury Prize and the Audience Prize. Among the films presented were L'albero by Sara Petraglia starring Tecla Insolia, Quasi a casa, the debut work by Carolina Pavone, and the preview of Tutti i fiori nel tempo si piegano al sole, the directorial debut of Brando Pacitto.

The three evenings alternated screenings, talks, and meetings with authors on topics such as the state of the film industry, the female gaze in cinema, and soundtrack composition, with the participation of, among others, Martina Gatti, Vincenzo Crea, and composer Gerry Owens.

The presence of Tecla Insolia, two-time winner of the 2025 David di Donatello, and the preview of Brando Pacitto's directorial debut.
