The Sh-Boom Festival – Rockin' Doo Wop Spring Party is one of the most anticipated events for rock 'n' roll, doo-wop, and vintage culture enthusiasts from all over Europe. Every spring, Camping La Medusa, located directly on the beach of Porto Recanati, in the province of Macerata, transforms into a true Rock and Roll Village: for four days, you can breathe the carefree atmosphere of the 1950s and 1960s, amidst live music, wild dancing, gleaming chrome, and full skirts.
The tenth edition and the new Pool Side area
The 2026 edition marks an important milestone: the tenth edition of the festival, born in 2014 from the idea of Omar Marzioli and Stefano Zampaloni. To celebrate the anniversary, alongside the two historic areas – the Doo Wop Bar, with an intimate feel and free entry, and the Rockin' Plaza, the heart of the main concerts – the new Pool Side area debuts, featuring three swimming pools where you can relax in the sun listening to live music and DJ sets. A formula that combines a camping holiday with a music gathering, making Sh-Boom an immersive and unique experience in the Marche region.
Music, dancing, and vintage culture
The program revolves around concerts by international bands: the headliners of the tenth edition are the legendary Senti-Mentals, straight from England, among the bands that have made doo-wop history in Europe. Alongside the live performances, there are DJ sets dedicated to the golden age vinyl, lessons, and dance competitions where couples challenge each other in jive, boogie, and rock 'n' roll.
- East Rockin' Race: a gathering of gleaming, perfectly preserved vintage American cars and motorcycles.
- Vintage market: artisans and exhibitors from all over Italy offering 1950s clothing, records, accessories, and objects.

Porto Recanati and the Conero
The festival takes place in Porto Recanati, a seaside town at the foot of Monte Conero. Its location on the seafront, within the campsite, allows attendees to experience the event as a complete holiday: sleep in bungalows or mobile homes, swim at the beach, and party the night away. A mix that has made Sh-Boom a national reference point for the rockabilly and doo-wop scene.
Sh-Boom Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Sh-Boom Festival, once again transforming Camping La Medusa in Porto Recanati into a large Rock and Roll Village. The major novelty for the anniversary was the Pool Side area, with three swimming pools for listening to live music and DJ sets in the sun, alongside the historic Doo Wop Bar (free entry) and Rockin' Plaza areas.
Four days of concerts, rock 'n' roll and doo-wop DJ sets, dancing, and vintage culture, featuring the East Rockin' Race gathering of vintage American cars and motorcycles, and a market with exhibitors from all over Italy.

How to get here
Camping La Medusa, Lungomare Scarfiotti, Porto Recanati (MC). By car: A14 exit Porto Recanati, then head towards the southern seafront. By train: Porto Recanati station on the Adriatic line, a few minutes from the campsite.
Tickets and accommodation
Entry to the Doo Wop Bar is free; for the Rockin' Plaza, tickets range from approximately 15 to 30 euros. Advance tickets and information via email at [email protected]. Accommodation packages at Camping La Medusa (bungalows and mobile homes) can be booked separately; the accommodation price does not include the event entry ticket.
Tips
Wear 1950s-themed clothing to fully immerse yourself in the Rock and Roll Village atmosphere. Book accommodation in advance: campsite spots sell out quickly during the festival days.
