The art of the territory on display in Caravaggio

Sfumature in Libertà is the exhibition event promoted by the Il Caravaggio Cultural Association, which every year brings a collective exhibition dedicated to local artists to the Piero Ferri Auditorium, in the San Bernardino Civic Center. Caravaggio, in the province of Bergamo, is the city that gave birth to the great painter Michelangelo Merisi, and its artistic vocation is part of its identity: the exhibition collects this heritage by presenting works by local painters and creatives.

A free and open collective exhibition

As the title suggests, the exhibition presents itself as a free path of "nuances": different techniques, subjects, and styles coexist in the auditorium's spaces, giving voice to the creativity of the participating artists. The exhibition, listed in the event calendar of the Municipality of Caravaggio, has free admission and takes place over several days.

The context

The Piero Ferri Auditorium is located in the San Bernardino Civic Center, on Viale Giovanni XXIII, in Caravaggio. The city, in the province of Bergamo, is also known for the famous Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Fonte, a pilgrimage destination, but it preserves a rich cultural and associative life of which this exhibition is an expression.
