Sfincia di Prescia Festival

The 2025 edition, the twenty-fourth, of the Sfincia di Prescia Festival took place on January 6, 2025, at Piazzale Portella della Ginestra in Montelepre, organized by the ATMA Association led by president Eleonora Gaglio. The edition was dedicated to Montelepre natives living around the world: the making of the pastry, once entrusted to the town's grandmothers, was broadcast live on social media to allow emigrants to participate from afar and pass on the recipe.

From 4:30 PM, the stands offered tastings of the sfince for a symbolic ticket of a few euros. The day included the Elf Village in the urban park, the artistic nativity scene in the Chiesa dei Caduti, a performance by the folk group "I colori della Sicilia," the arrival of the Befana, and a large tombola. The initiative was supported by the Municipality of Montelepre and the Italea project for roots tourism.
